There are changes around waste collection in your municipality in the coming period. We will be happy to tell you what will change for your business.
Why change?
The municipalities of Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam, Molenlanden and Vijfheerenlanden have drawn up a new waste and raw materials policy to separate waste even better and reduce the amount of residual waste. This applies to both private individuals and businesses. If we avoid residual waste and reuse more of it, we won't need to extract as many new materials from the earth. Because everything we burn is gone for good and cannot be reused. So less residual waste is important for the environment. Right now, preparations and work to introduce this new policy are in full swing.
What will change?
Between April and June, you will receive an environmental pass. We will bring it to you. This environmental pass has a chip with a unique number. This number is linked to your company. You will therefore have to sign for receipt. The current containers for residual waste will be closed in phases from April. With the environmental pass, you can open the collection containers for residual waste in your municipality. So don't forget to take your environmental pass with you when you go to the container. Until 31 December 2023, nothing will change in your tariffs. Do you separate raw materials well and have little residual waste? Then your costs will be lower than if you have a lot of residual waste.
