Residents of the municipalities of Gorinchem, Hardinxveld-Giessendam, Molenlanden and Vijfheerenlanden can earn a nice pocket money again this year by bringing Christmas trees to central collection points in their neighbourhood or using their environmental pass to one of Waardlanden's environmental centres. Each real Christmas tree without a wooden cross, pot, nails and decoration earns 50 cents.
Together with residents and contractors, we are also taking care of Christmas tree collection this year. Residents receive a payment of 50 cents for each Christmas tree they hand in. From 50 Christmas trees onwards, payment is made by bank transfer. We encourage children to go around the neighbourhood with brothers, sisters, friends or girlfriends during the Christmas holidays and collect as many Christmas trees as possible. Not only is it a fun way to play outside and earn a penny, but it also helps keep the neighbourhood clean and tidy. Moreover, we ensure that Christmas trees are recycled in a sustainable way. So participating is not only good for the wallet, but also for the environment.
